Disability Hearings

Disability hearings are done at hearing offices. This should not be confused with a courtroom hearing. At the hearing office people include the claimant, the Judge, the claimant's representative---if the claimant has retained them & medical experts chosen by the Judge.

The hearings can range from 15 mins to 1 hour. Though this time may seem a small amount, but it is of vital importance on what goes here. Winning the case means having a permanent monthly income which ensures your security or living the rest of your lifetime in uncertanity. If the case drags on, this also affects their mental & psychological weel being as they would be concerened about whether the case will succeed. The hearing is a make or break event. The claimant should be well prepared for the process. They should have practiced all the statements to be used in the hearing.

Usually, the claimants dont have the skill & experience to present their case before the judge. Therefore a claimant's representitive who has a good experience & skill in the field of social security disability is very vital
